Jean Pierre and Luc Dardenne, Rosetta (1999)
Probably one of the most important films of the last 20 years, surely amongst my top 10 movies of all time. What stupefies most of this film is the reality, the absolute tangibility of its characters, a truly rare thing in contemporary movies.
